Did you lose a beloved companion animal? Are you facing the impending loss of a pet? Do you feel hurt, and at a loss about where to turn? Supportive group work can help answer these questions and more including: • Why does pet loss hurt so much? • Am I crazy for grieving for an animal so intensely? • Should I have a funeral for my pet? • How do I explain a pet’s death to my child? • How can I prepare for my pet’s death? • How can I help a friend with the loss of his/her pet? • Why do I feel so guilty about euthanizing my pet—even if the vet has recommended it? • How long should I wait to get a new pet? • Why is the loss of our pet a strain on our relationship? • How does pet loss differ for the elderly? • How can I memorialize my pet? I offer this FREE pet loss support group on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. An RSVP is helpful so I know how many chairs to round up, but it is not necessary for attendance. So far, I have been delighted at the warm response from the community, and the amazing circle of care that attendees have created. Usually, we show a picture of the pet(s) we have lost. If you would like additional information about the group, please don’t hesitate to give me a call at 407.913.4988 or email me at
